Excerpt
ProjectTogether is a non-profit organisation that drives social transformation. It develops mission-oriented processes and brings together stakeholders from civil society, government, business and academia to create social innovations. Y'all a Nachbarschaft! is an initiative that was founded in the run-up to the 2021 federal elections in Germany, and was committed to the political participation of young people.
Summary
Mandate
One Sunday every four years.
In the run-up to the 2021 Bundestag elections, we were selected to develop a concept to promote political participation among young people. The mandate came with the support of the "Unmute Now" program, an initiative of Project Together and the Alfred Landecker Foundation.
We conceived a 360 marketing campaign that covered media production, content creation, web design and advertisement in order to maximize the impact of the campaign, and win the trust of our partners and sponsors.
Concept Design
The objective of our campaign was to address first-time voters and underrepresented youth from neighborhoods in Berlin Neukölln and Kreuzberg, and from the Wilhelmsburg neighborhood in Hamburg .
For this purpose we conceived a touring voting booth, to emulate the secrecy of the voting act, where people were invited to talk about the upcoming elections, and speak of the topics that were important to them in an open dialogue format. These dialogues were filmed, edited into interviews and collected as a "Video Archiv".
Delivery
We used this archival work as a cornerstone for the marketing campaign, as we published the material on a dedicated website that was designed for this purpose.
In addition to content creation and online assets, the project included a production and post-production work to publicize our action, meet the target group and keep our partners involved in the campaign as it progressed. We also partnered with local organisations such as Oyoun and Gangway e.V., who supported us with their expertise and reach.
